Privacy Policy
Last updated July 13, 2026
Ready Tasker (“Ready Tasker”, “we”, “us”) is an invite-only task and project management application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and basic profile information from your Google account. Signing in does not give us access to your Gmail, your Drive contents, or any other Google data. The one way we ever read Gmail content is if you install our Gmail add-on and open it on a message — described in full under Ready Tasker for Gmail below.
- Content you create. Tasks, projects, comments, labels, assignments, and other content you enter, plus links and display names for files you attach (for example, Google Drive document links). We store the link and name you provide — not the contents of the linked file.
- Technical information. We use a small number of cookies for authentication (your sign-in session) and to remember preferences such as your light/dark theme and column layout. We keep standard server logs needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use information
- To provide the service: sign you in, display and organize your tasks and projects, and enforce who can see what within your workspace.
- To send notifications you have not turned off (assignments, comments, mentions, reminders, and the daily digest). You can manage these on your notification settings page.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.
Ready Tasker for Gmail
Ready Tasker offers an optional Gmail add-on that turns an email into a task. If you do not install it, nothing in this section applies to you and we never read your mail.
What it reads
The add-on requests one Gmail permission, gmail.addons.current.message.readonly — permission to read the single message you currently have open, and only while the add-on is open on it. It reads that message’s subject, body, sender and date.
This permission does not let us search your mailbox, read other messages or threads, read mail in the background, or access your mail when you are not using the add-on. We never download, copy or index your mailbox, and the add-on cannot send email as you.
When it reads
Only when you ask it to. Opening the add-on next to a message does not read that message. The add-on reads the email only when you press “Draft task from this email” — so mail you merely happen to have on screen is never sent anywhere.
What we do with it
When you press that button, the message’s contents are sent to our servers so we can suggest a task — a title, a due date, a priority — which is shown back to you in editable fields. We use the message only to produce that suggestion, and we do not retain it for that purpose: it is processed to build the draft and then discarded.
What we store
Nothing, unless you choose to save a task. If you press “Add task”, we store the task exactly as you approved it — which by default includes a short excerpt of the email and a link back to it in the task’s notes, so the task can be traced to its source. You can edit or delete any of that before saving, and delete the task afterwards. If you close the add-on without saving, nothing about the message is kept.
What we never do
- We do not sell or transfer your Gmail data, or use it for advertising.
- We do not use your Gmail data to train, develop or improve generalized machine-learning or AI models.
- We do not allow humans to read your Gmail data, except where you explicitly ask us to (for example, in support), where required by law, or where necessary for security.
- We do not use your Gmail data for any purpose other than providing the add-on feature you can see in front of you.
Limited Use
Ready Tasker’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing it
Uninstall the add-on from Gmail at any time, and revoke its access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Tasks you already saved stay in your workspace until you delete them.
Service providers
We rely on a small set of providers to operate Ready Tasker:
- Google — sign-in (OAuth), and the optional Gmail add-on described above.
- Supabase — database, authentication, and email-sending functions.
- Cloudflare — application hosting and delivery.
- Resend — sending notification emails.
These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and security practices.
Data retention
We retain your account and content while your workspace is active. Deleted content is removed from active use; backups may persist for a limited period. You or your workspace administrator can request deletion (see Contact).
Security
Access to data is controlled by row-level security tied to your workspace and your position in your organization, and data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices and rights
- You can edit or delete tasks, projects, and comments within the app.
- You can change your notification preferences at any time.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Workspace administrators can remove members and their access.
Children
Ready Tasker is intended for adults in a workplace setting and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
